Wonderful news! Mason Allen Cooper was born on January 12, 2010 at 12:34 p.m. He weighed 6lbs 13 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. He is such a doll! Labor was absolutely easy for me. We arrived at The Women's Hospital of Texas at 7:15 am Tuesday morning. After all the paper work and getting ready I was not given the potoasin till around 8:30 am. At 9:15, Dr. Kirshon broke my water. I decided to tell the nurse that by 10:30 am I would want my epidural. Dr. Kirshon had already informed us that he thought we would deliver between 12 and 1. At 12 o'clock exactly my nurse was getting ready to go to lunch and I was dialated to 5 cm. I quickly informed her that this was the same scenario that I had with Jacob. I told her it would only be about 30 minutes and Mason would be gracing us. Well she decided she was goign to go to lunch. Quickly at 12:15, I informed my nurse she needed to check me again. I was at an 8. She quickly called my nurse from lunch got the room ready and called the doctors. The doctors and everyone arrived about 12:25. I only pushed 8 times for a total of 9 minutes. Mason was born a completely healthy little boy! He's so precious.
We were released today at 10:30. We are at home safe and sound! Jacob is so excited about his little brother!
